This is how the awards where judged:-

The Essex Wedding Awards will be independently judged by 5 couples planning their weddings in Essex within the 12 month period after the awards. These carefully selected couples will be chosen from various age groups and regions throughout Essex. Additionally the awards will be judged by the Editors of our media partners. This will therefore truly allow us to judge the best venues, products, services and customer care supplied by the wedding market in Essex. They will look at and read each submission and then select a shortlist of 5 loving couples for The Essex Romance award and approximately 5 businesses per category for the professional categories, depending upon the overall number of submissions received.

Chesfield Downs Golf Club, Conferences, Weddings and Parties

The clubhouse has three stunning function suites set aside from its golfing operations for private events. The Conservatory has a patio area, perfect for those warm summer evenings. The Gallery has its own private bar and the Franklin Room is perfect for smaller functions or conferences. 

You will have a personal co-ordinator to help with your every need on the run up to and on your day. We also have a number of different suppliers that we recommend, including discos, florists, balloons, decorations, bakers, plus many more.

Our Conservatory holds up to 120 guests for a sit downs meal, 200 for an evening function. The Gallery can seat up to 60 people for smaller functions and the Franklin Room 15 for the more intimate events.
