NEW BRIDAL SUITE UNVEILED FOR DOWN
HALL HOTEL
Down Hall has unveiled a newly refurbished designer suite as a prototype
of developments to follow at this stunning 99 bedroom, four-star country house hotel
and wedding venue.
The new suite complements the country house style of the hotel
perfectly, with a classic contemporary blend of bespoke and restored antique
furniture, natural fabrics such as woollen plaids, herringbone and velvet
brocade in plums, greens and earthy hues by Moon, Sanderson, Warwick with
wallpaper by Brian Yates, paint by Zoffany and Brintons’ bespoke carpet. Accent
lighting and the welcoming and homely bathroom interior hint at the more
streamlined design of the fashionable 1930’s era.
The interior design is the work of Rachel McLane Ltd, whose portfolio
includes many similar hotels including The Feversham Arms and The Black Swan in
Helmsley, North Yorkshire and Mere Golf and Country Club in Cheshire.
Chris Falcus, the Hotel’s General Manager, commented,
“We are delighted not just with the look of this new suite, but how the
new style has transformed the feel of the space, added touches such as the
lighting design not only look good but add to its functionality. Guest feedback
has been very positive with our bridal couples who have particularly
appreciated the luxurious soft furnishings and bathroom design.”
Located near Hatfield Heath, on the Hertfordshire and Essex borders, and
dating to circa1540, this popular venue is one of the most beautiful examples
of Baroque country houses in England with stunning photogenic interiors. It is
located in 110 acres of gardens and grounds.
Leisure facilities and added attractions at Down Hall include an indoor
heated pool, sauna, cocktail bar, snooker room, tennis courts and outdoor games.
